On Saturday, May 11, the Hopkins Justice Collective held a die-in at Johns Hopkins University to draw attention to over Palestinian 40,000 lives lost in Gaza. Speakers read Palestinian poetry and spoke about the death toll in the region.
The Hopkins Justice Collective organized an encampment starting April 29 on the school’s campus to highlight the ongoing genocide happening in Gaza and protest the university’s ties to Israel. The die-in was held just one day before the Hopkins Justice Collective and Johns Hopkins University President Ron Daniels announced they had reached an agreement to disband the encampment.
